Oakleaf and The Community Housing Group shortlisted for six regional LABC awards

We are delighted to announce that Oakleaf Commercial Services and The Community Housing Group has been shortlisted for a total of six awards in the West of England region of the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2020.

Oakleaf Commercial Services have been shortlisted for the Best Local Builder or Traditional Craftsperson, along with their Westminster Road site in Kidderminster which is up for two awards. This is a small garage site comprising of 3 dormer bungalows and is nominated for the following:-

  • Best Small New Housing Development
  • Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development

Finally, Site Manager, Dave Taylor of Oakleaf Commercial Services has been shortlisted within the category of “LABC Construction Professional of the Year” for managing the Sculthorpe Road site in Blakedown. This site previously contained 14 garages which were demolished and a further 3 dormer bungalows were built ahead of schedule.

The Community Housing Group has also been nominated for an additional two awards for their Westminster Road site. These are for the categories of Best Small News Housing Development and Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development.

The Local Authority Building Control (LABC) represent all local authority building teams in England and Wales. The largest business to business awards in the building control sector, the LABC Regional Building Excellence Awards recognise quality in all types of building project, celebrating achievements in the construction industry and rewarding excellent buildings, outstanding companies, and partnerships and individuals that go that extra mile. Their network covers all local authorities in England and Wales and is split into 12 regions, each of which holds their own awards.
