Oakleaf Grounds Services and Galliford Try enter into schools Grounds Maintenance Contract
Oakleaf Grounds Services is delighted to announce they have been awarded a new Grounds Maintenance contract to maintain 12 schools in the Birmingham City area on behalf of Galliford Try’s Facilities Management business. Oakleaf, the Kidderminster-based company which is part of Oakleaf Commercial Services, has won the contract for a further five-year period, extending their relationship with Galliford Try, having provided the service for the previous five years.
Galliford Try Facilities Management business entered into a comprehensive competitive tendering process to ensure it attracted the right Grounds Maintenance partner, to help them deliver a high quality service to the Birmingham schools. Perry Beeches Academy being one of the largest of the 12 schools, shares the site with a total of six schools. The service includes general grounds maintenance, arboriculture, sports pitch maintenance and the maintenance of hard surfaces. The contract for the next five years is valued at approximately £400,000 to £500,000. The challenge for all parties has been to deliver an improved specification, achieving both value for money while creating opportunities for added value.
Louise Dugmore, Facilities Manager said: “The tendering process included appointing a Waste Services company, a Cleaning Services provider as well as Grounds Maintenance. I am particularly pleased that we have been able to retain Oakleaf which will help us achieve a seamless transfer into the new contract from August 2017.”
